Good afternoon,
Here are three things I read this week that I thought you'd find interesting. I like to take in a range of perspectives each week – even if they might sometimes differ from my own. I hope you find some useful information heading into the weekend!

The history of the end of poverty has just begun
The share of the world's population living in 'extreme poverty' dropped from 53% in 1950 to 9% in 2018.
I find stats like these interesting because they reinforce the power of human ingenuity and inventiveness - 2 major forces supporting our long-term investment thesis.
I'm optimistic these productive forces will stand to benefit the 85% of the world's population still living on less than $30 per day. I'm also optimistic these forces will benefit investors who believe in the potential for humanity's progress.
Sen. Lummis Asked Fed's Powell for Lifeline on Proposed Crypto Banks
Senator Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming is a self-proclaimed Bitcoin evangelist. She's striving to make Wyoming a legislative haven for cryptocurrency activity.
I found this article interesting because, to date, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell has not (yet?) budged on Senator Lummis' idea of allowing brick-and-mortar institutions to hold cryptocurrencies.
